In either case, you are going to carry out similar processes when it comes to waterproofing the pool glass, if necessary, and covering the sand support.
HOW TO BUILD A NEW SAND POOL? .- MATERIALS TO USE .
In this case, the construction process would be as follows:
1.- Design of the sand pool, (at the end of this blog, we give you some examples that can give you good ideas).
Once you have the design of the pool, you will have to dig the hole of the pool, the beach and all the areas that you want to cover with sand.
You will have to do the installation of the water pipes, drains, esimers, purifier, installation of lights, jets and waterfalls etc ...
2.- Once you have the structure made, we advise you to waterproof the concrete and the entire structure of the pool. You can do it before placing the concrete or after.
We advise you to put a high quality liquid waterproofing polyurethane membrane , which will avoid the possible problems of leaks or water losses, throughout the life of your sand pool.
It is a one-component liquid product, which once catalyzed or hardened, with ambient humidity, forms a continuous and elastic membrane, without joints or overlaps, so there are no possible leaks.

3.- Next you must place a mesh and pour the concrete, to create a hard and consistent support. You can use gunite concrete or other types of concretes, on this subject they will advise you better in a construction warehouse.
4.-It is advisable to apply a coat of Bonding Bridge or Bonding Primer. Resin that acts as a glue, to anchor the sand coating to the concrete that you already have applied. You can apply a coat of Union Bridge between mortars, to improve the adhesion between the concrete and the sand.

Or you can apply a coat of 100% Solids Adherent Epoxy Primer for thick systems. The pot life of this product is shorter, so you should go for smaller pieces.

5.- Once you get to this point, you must place a mesh, and then cover the entire area with the mixed sand, with the resin or fixative for aggregates

6.- Once the sand has been applied to the entire surface of the pool and the beach, it is time to provide extra protection to the sand coating.
We advise you to apply a waterproof varnish for pools, so that the sand coating lasts much longer without deteriorating, and thus avoid having to make repairs in the sand after a few years. It will also make it easier to clean and prevent algae from growing on the porous surface of the sand.

HOW TO REFORM A POOL OF GRESITE, TILE OR CEMENT WITH SAND COATING? - MATERIALS TO BE USED.
-SAND COATING ON OLD POOLS to repair or renovate them.
The alternatives to give a new look to your pool are very wide.
If you need to repair your tile or tile pool because you have large water leaks or leaks, you have a cheaper option than to lift all the tile, repair and waterproof the pool and put the tile back.

3.- Now, you must apply, on top of the concrete, a coat of Union Bridge between mortars, to improve the adhesion between the concrete and the sand. It is a resin that acts as a glue, to anchor the sand coating to the concrete that you already have applied and it does not come loose over time.

4.- Once you get to this point, you must place a mesh, and then coat the entire area with the mixed sand, with the resin or fixative for aggregates in the proportion indicated by the manufacturer in the technical sheet of the product. Always use high quality resins that last over time and have a great fixation. This step is one of the most important in order to perfectly build a sand pool.

5.- Once the sand has been applied to the entire surface of the pool and the beach, it is time to provide extra protection for the sand coating.
