- Contains antimicrobial additive with metal ions that provide a
permanent effect.
- This type of paint is characterized by a low VOC content and very
low odor.
- Provides finishes with excellent adhesion, great hardness and resistance to
abrasion, scratching and good chemical resistance.
- There is a non-slip version. The drying time depends on the thickness
applied, the temperature, humidity of the substrate and the
ambient temperature and humidity.
-Guaranteed effectiveness by complying with the Japanese standard JIS Z 2801
by measuring antibacterial activity (Equivalent to Standard ISO 22196:2011).
- Prevents the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria, mold,
fungi, salmonella, legionella, Escherichia Coli, staphylococus aureus and others.
Its growth is inhibited by contact with the surface coated with
this paint. It maintains these properties permanently, as long as the
paint does not deteriorate, thus reducing the risk of infections.
WHERE CAN YOU APPLY ANTI-BACTERIAL PAINT?
Ideal coating for the food industry, hospital areas (operating theatres, medical care rooms, etc.), nursing homes, changing rooms and any type of environment that requires the absence of pathogenic microorganisms.
HOW SHOULD I USE THE SANITIZING PAINT?
Surfaces to be painted must be free of dust, grease and old paint.
The humidity of the substrate must be less than 10%.
If the floor is not very porous, a mechanical treatment (sanding, diamond polishing, etc.) will have to be carried out to open the pores and achieve better adhesion.
Mix the two components in a 4:1 ratio by weight and homogenize the contents of the container by stirring thoroughly with a stirrer at low speed to avoid introducing air into the mixture for a minimum of 2 minutes until a uniform color and fluid consistency are achieved.
Application can be done by brush, roller or air-less.
The first coat should be applied by diluting it with 15-20% water; for the second coat, dilute it no more than 5-10%.
To achieve good adhesion between coats, do not allow more than 24 hours to pass.
Do not apply at temperatures below 10ºC.
The mixture has a maximum life of 1 hour.
Complete hardening will not be achieved until after 7 days at temperatures not lower than 15-20ºC.
On very porous surfaces, it is recommended to apply 1 coat of primer. (Please consult if you have any questions)
It does not harden properly on substrates with a continuous supply of humidity by capillarity.
Clean tools with water immediately after use.
Low temperatures or periods of more than 48 hours between coats may cause adhesion problems.
Do not clean the surface with any liquid until 7 days have passed.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING ANTIMICROBIAL PAINT
Ensure good ventilation of the premises and a good extraction system. Use safety glasses and protective gloves during application. The use of a mask is advisable.
