WHERE TO APPLY ACOUSTIC INSULATING PAINT?

Paint formulated with ceramic particles and insulating fillers that improve acoustic insulation for walls and
ceilings of bars, restaurants, leisure rooms and places where the reduction of ambient noise and
reverberations is necessary. High quality product for indoor and/or outdoor use.

            Recommended dry thickness: 900/1800 μ dry depending on the need for noise reduction (*)

PRE-TREATMENT OF THE SURFACE BEFORE APPLYING THE SOUNDPROOFING PAINT

In general, any surface to be painted must be solid and with a surface resistance >1.5 MPa, humidity equal to or less than 5%, free of dust, grit, grease, oil, silicone, wax, fuel and/or any other surface.

Old concrete surfaces: Remove dust and any other contaminating particles, clean traces
of grease and fuel with water and industrial soap, brush to clean and repair if necessary. Let dry before
applying paint.

 
New surfaces: Ensure complete drying/setting of the surface.

 
Surfaces with old paint: If the paint is in poor condition or lacks adhesion, it must be removed. Paints
in good condition have to be sanded to open the pores and ensure proper adhesion,
especially if they are glossy.

 Remove traces of grease, fuel or any other contaminant with water and industrial soap.

Let dry perfectly.

PAINT APPLICATION METHOD TO INSULATE AND SOUNDPROOF

The water-based plastic paint for soundproofing and insulation is supplied in a ready-to-use container.

It must be perfectly homogenized before use, removing the paint properly.

The paint as presented can be applied directly, only if the application equipment
or environmental conditions require it, it can be diluted with a maximum of 5-8% CLEAN WATER.

Brush: Do not dilute. /     Roller: Do not dilute.

 
Airless gun: Do not dilute. Nozzle 0.38 to 0.48. Working pressure: 150 to 170 Kg/cm2.

 
Like all coatings and paints, the application must be carried out on firm and dry substrates, at a
support temperature 3ºC higher than the dew point, with an ambient temperature above
10ºC and an RH less than 80%.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DRY FILM OF INSULATING PAINT

 Certified improvement of 2 dB of acoustic insulation according to UNE-EN ISO 10140-2:2011 and UNE-EN ISO 10140-1:2016
(Annex G) for a thickness of 1800 dry microns.

The insulation improvement is greater if the film thickness is increased.

Good application in thick layers, does not sag.

Very fast drying and excellent general adhesion.

Very good resistance to rubbing and weathering.

PRECAUTIONS FOR APPLYING SOUNDPROOFING WATER PAINT

The application must be carried out with abundant supply of air or with ventilation systems prepared for this purpose.
The usual personal protection elements must be used to avoid ingestion, inhalation or contact with the skin.
Normal fire precautions must be taken during application.
Keep containers tightly closed after use. Do not throw waste into the drain.
Product sensitive to frost, so it is recommended to store in a dry and protected place.
Storage stability: 1 year in its original closed containers and in good storage conditions.
